  3. NUMBER is the editing command that enables you to reassign the line numbers
  4. associated with the text of your created message.  Default numbering begins
  5. with 10 and is incremented by 10.  You can use NUMBER to specify a new
  6. start number and a new increment.

  8.      COMMAND?  NUMBER [start no.] by [increment]

  10. When you are in the process of composing a message, you can use .NUMBER to
  11. renumber the text before the message is complete.
